Introduction

One of Birmingham’s 99 neighborhoods and only 4 miles east of downtown Birmingham, the Woodlawn community origins predate Birmingham itself. Founded in 1815, this historic community continues to exude a spirit of progress and unity.

Main Street organization REV Birmingham has been working in Woodlawn since 2004 to add vibrancy to the historic business district, in collaboration with the tight-knit community.
